NEL Siddharta di Hermann Hesse uno dei tanti bellissimi passaggi è quello in cui il principe, che diventerà presto Buddha, l’Illuminato, è seduto sulla riva del fiume e capisce che, senza più la misura del tempo, il passato e il futuro sono sempre presenti, come il fiume che allo stesso momento è là dove lo si vede, ma è anche alla sorgente e alla foce. L’acqua che ha ancora da passare il domani, ma c’è già a monte; quella che è scivolata via è l’ieri, ma c’è ancora, altrove, a valle.
